National Career Tracking Survey for 2020 Graduates with Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Universities of Applied Sciences

The survey is sent to all approximately 29,800 alumni who graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a university of applied sciences in 2020. The national career tracking survey provides up-to-date information about working life for the use of higher education institutions.

The survey is carried out by the universities of applied sciences in cooperation with CSC – IT Center for Science Ltd.

By responding to the career tracking survey:

  • You help applicants and students in their career considerations by sharing your own experiences.
  • You influence the future of university of applied sciences education.
  • You promote student career guidance and the quality of education.
  • You affect the funding of your higher education institution.

How does the survey work?

  • You will receive an invitation by email and text message.
  • Your background information (such as degree details) is retrieved from the Virta data repository and will not be asked separately in the form.
  • Contact information is taken from student or alumni registers and public sources only for the purpose of sending the survey. These will be deleted after the survey.
  • Responses are processed confidentially, and individual respondents cannot be identified.

Background of the survey

The implementation of the career tracking survey is required by law for universities of applied sciences and mandated by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The survey is based on the Universities of Applied Sciences Act (932/2014) and Decree (1129/2014).
